How do I communicate the feeling of the great mystery found through meditation and spiritual movement? Water may be the closest thing we can touch. Like meditation, the images show that water is not alone. It feels its environment, like the moon’s push, the air, the light—the slowed breath, spirit gifts, those who come to heart. Photographing in the New Mexico desert, the connection to water, like fleeting experiences of transcendence, is at once more desperate, captivating, and, when found, quenching.
